It will markedly improve your technique in all other classes. Ballet is a requirement for all lyrical, and Contemporary classes.

Tap: Warm-up, exercises across the floor, and combinations exploring various rhythms and styles.

JAZZ

JAZZ

A full stretch followed by technique and combinations (splits, leaps, kicks, turns...) This style is combined with classical jazz and a modern trendy flair.

The latest moves taught to appropriate pop/hip hop music. Dancer explores how to isolate different parts of the body with an incorporation of level changes.

ACROBATS

ACROBATS

Acrobatics teaches flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline & concentration. This class will focus on fundamental acrobatic technique following the Acrobatic Arts Curriculum. Students will learn such things as handstands, chin stands, elbow stands, cartwheels, back bends, a variety of tumbling and partner tricks.

Contemporary is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements.

PRE POINTE

PRE POINTE

Pre-pointe classes are offered to ballet students who are not yet on pointe to further develop and strengthen the muscles necessary to go en pointe. We stress correct alignment and correct classical ballet technique. This class is only offered to dancers that the instructor has chosen for this class.
